Born and raised in a small farming community just outside of Fredericton, NB, Richard developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for community values. Richard has prioritized family throughout his life, dedicating nearly 20 years to his marriage and actively supporting his youngest daughter's various sporting events. He has also been a source of encouragement for his eldest daughter as she pursues her career as an entrepreneur.

Having served in law enforcement and emergency management for several years, Richard honed his ability to communicate effectively, empathize with others, and handle high-pressure situations.
